Bio

Julie Oltman earned her Ph.D. in Teaching, Learning, & Technology at Lehigh University. Her dissertation focused on game-based learning for elementary social studies. She has an M.S. degree in Kinesiology and B.A. degree in English, both from the University of New Hampshire.

In addition to her work in academe, she serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Technology at Lehigh University.

Her research interests include game-based learning, computational thinking, geospatial tools, augmented reality, design, and social studies education.

Dr. Oltman lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and two sons.
